Name: Tom Fay
Birthday: 29 January
Musical background: As I grew up in Ireland I was primarily exposed to traditional Irish instruments but I was eager to learn guitar. I started to play the guitar at the age of 16 and took to it very quickly. Like all aspiring young musicians, I quickly formed a band that played mainly cover music but it wasn't too long before we were penning original numbers.
I moved to England where I met Steve and we formed an Irish/Rock covers band . This band transformed into an eight-piece and was very quickly playing venues up and down the UK, playing more contemporary covers and some original material. It was at this point that we met Anneka and our mutual love for rock and metal enticed us to form Exoterik.
Equipment: Roukangas guitars, Gibson guitars, ESP guitars, Marshall amplification, Boss & MXR stomp boxes, Elixir strings, AKG wireless systems.
Favourite alcoholic beverage: Primarily spirits, but I make a mean cocktail.
Favourite Movies: "Aliens", "Predator", "Vanilla Sky" and "Star Wars".
Favourite Books: "End of Faith" by Sam Harris, "Straw Dogs" by John Gray and "Human Instinct" Robert Winston.
Top 5 bands: "Faith No More", "Slipknot", "System of a Down" to name three, however I listen to all genres of music and it quite often than not depens on my mood.
Best Tour Experience: Getting to share the stage with "Lacuna Coil" and having drinks with them afterwards, as they were such cool people.
Worst Tour Experience: Trying to sleep in the van with Seagulls pecking at the roof at 5am.
